Tendai has served in various capacities in the United Methodist Church in Zimbabwe since 1990 coordinating the women’s wing up to present by the virtue of being a Pastor’s wife. She currently serves as Coordinator Ministry with Women, Children and Youth Zimbabwe Episcopal Area since 2013.
The work involves policy making that manages and oversees the programs and projects for women, children and youth. She equips women and girls to be leaders in communities, agencies, workplaces, governments and churches and to advocate for the oppressed and dispossessed with special attention to the needs of women, children and youth. The Ministry builds supportive communities among women, engages in activities that foster growth in the Christian faith, mission education and Christian social involvement.
Tendai is a qualified teacher and a holder of a Bachelor of Education degree in Educational Administration, Planning and Policy Studies from the University of Zimbabwe.
Tendai wishes to uphold the vision of Glowlink in the same spirit she has served in other sectors with experience.
